Legal
Privacy Policy.
This policy explains what personal information Andi Cares ("andi.", "we") collects, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It covers our website (www.andicares.com), our demo site (demo.andicares.com), and the Andi apps used by care organizations, their staff and the families they invite (app.andicares.com).
1. Information we collect
On our website
- Demo requests. If you fill in the demo request form we receive your name, organization, role, the products you are interested in, your email, your phone number if you give it, and anything you write in the message box.
- Technical information. Our website host records standard request information such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, to deliver the site and keep it secure.
- Fonts. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google when you visit.
Our website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
In the Andi apps
- Account information. Name, email address and sign-in details for staff and invited family members.
- Care information. Information that a care organization, its staff or invited family members enter or connect, such as care plans, care notes, referrals, medication lists, documents and messages. This can include health information.
- Usage and security information. Records of sign-ins and actions taken in the apps, used to operate the service, keep it secure and show who did what.
2. Health information we handle for care organizations
When we handle protected health information for a healthcare provider, such as an assisted living community, home care agency or hospital, we do so as that provider's business associate, under a business associate agreement with them. We use and disclose that information only to provide our services to that provider and as the agreement and the law allow. The provider's own notice of privacy practices explains how they use your health information. Requests to see, correct or receive an accounting of that information should go to the provider; if we receive one, we forward it to them.
3. Our demo site
The demo site shows invented sample people. Please do not enter real health information or personal details there. Text you type into the demo's AI assistant is processed by our AI provider, Anthropic, to generate answers.
4. How we use information
- To provide, maintain and improve our services for the organizations that use them.
- To respond to demo requests and other messages.
- To send service emails, such as invitations, sign-in messages and notifications that users have turned on.
- To protect the security of our services and the people who use them, and to investigate misuse.
- To meet legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
5. Who we share information with
- The care team you are part of. In the Andi apps, information is shared with the staff of the care organization and with the family members and care managers that the organization has connected, according to the sharing that organization has chosen.
- Systems the care organization connects. When a care organization connects its own records system, such as its home care software, we exchange information with that system at the organization's direction.
- Service providers that run our services for us, under contracts that limit their use of the information:
- Amazon Web Services: hosting, database, sign-in, email delivery and AI processing for the Andi apps (through Amazon Bedrock). We have a business associate agreement with Amazon Web Services.
- Vercel: hosting of this website.
- Formspree: delivery of website form submissions to our email.
- Google Workspace: our company email.
- Anthropic: AI processing on the demo site only.
- Legal reasons. When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety or property of people or of andi.
- Business changes. If andi. is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that deal, subject to this policy and any business associate agreements in place.
Our AI providers process information only to provide answers for our services and do not use it to train their models.
6. How we protect information
We encrypt information in transit and at rest, limit access to the people who need it to do their work, require multi-factor sign-in for our staff, and keep logs of access to our systems. No method of protection is perfect, and we work to improve ours continually.
7. How long we keep information
We keep care information for as long as the care organization's agreement with us requires, and return or delete it when that agreement ends, except where the law requires us to keep it longer or where it remains in backups until they expire. We keep demo requests for as long as needed to follow up and to keep a record of our conversations.
8. Your choices
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, by emailing us at the address below. If the information is held for a care organization, we will refer your request to that organization and help them respond. You can turn off optional notifications in the apps at any time.
9. Children
Our services are for care organizations and adult family members. They are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
10. Changes to this policy
We review this policy at least once a year and when our services change. If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page, and where appropriate let the organizations and users of our apps know.
